Close to the A74 (M), one of the main routes from England to Scotland, the Bonnington Hotel is great for a stopover on the way north or south or for a longer stay. Close to Gretna, Moffat is lovely, charming little town. A great place for walking; it was the first town in Scotland to become a "Walkers are Welcome" town. All of the rooms have a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. A full cooked English breakfast is served in the attractive dining room, which looks out over Moffat's High Street. Evening meals are also available, with the excellent menu including daily-changing specials.
